POAH

Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) is a Boston-based nonprofit developer, owner and operator of over 14,000 affordable homes in thirteen states and the District of Columbia. POAH’s mission is to preserve, create and sustain affordable, healthy homes that support economic security and access to opportunity for all. POAH Communities is our property management company, which oversees more than 100 POAH properties.

St. Louis Housing Authority

For more than 80 years, SLHA has helped St. Louisans with access to affordable housing and social services, becoming a close-knit community dedicated to helping each other. With more than 20,000 residents, 71 staff, hundreds of partners and volunteers, we are one big family.

Roanoke Construction

Roanoke Construction was founded in 2012 and is based in St. Louis. It draws on the deep local roots of its staff, with extensive experience constructing residential communities in and around the city. Roanoke prioritizes minority participation among its staff and subcontractors and is committed to building capacity among MBE subcontractors and expanding inclusion within the construction industry to minority workers and businesses.

Trivers

Leading the building design for the project, Trivers values creating architecture of lasting positive consequence. Having established a reputation for thoughtful design that responded to context. The firm’s early focus on historic renovation and adaptive reuse rapidly grew to include ground-up construction.

Lamar Johnson Collaborative

LJC specializes in community-led design and the intersection of design and community engagement. LJC’s has deep experience working with community members and residents on complex, large-scale development projects, translating resident needs and perspectives into a design vision that is cohesive with and responsive to broader neighborhood contexts.

Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce

The Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce is a business incubator, development center, co-working/collaborative space & community. Working with solopreneurs, small businesses, corporate partners, sponsors and non for profit organizations. Our goal is to improve funding, investment opportunities, wealth, education, and resources with Black businesses all over the world.

Prosperity Connection

Prosperity Connection strives for every St. Louisan to have the financial access, skills, and resources to thrive. Through our best-in-class education and coaching services, we promote economic success, independence, confidence, and equity.

Key Strategic Group advances economic mobility through workforce systems innovation, community economic development & strategic partnership. They will serve as the local community engagement partners for the duration of the project.

St. Louis Small Business Empowerment Center

The SBEC’s mission is to provide economic development services focused on assisting entrepreneurs to help them sustain and grow their businesses and thus create wealth within their communities. SBEC helps entrepreneurs overcome the challenges of starting businesses in distressed and underserved neighborhoods and urban “Main Street” business districts.
